Mustang - The Loneliness of the Angel

Instant classic.

https://mustang.bandcamp.com/

After years without a face
The clocks are tuned
To the starting point

It's the blue that is watching
The loneliness of the angel
But now I'm with you

And the voices echo
In the head, in the heart, in the rooms
Left open like a question

Here is the rising wind
And the falling night
But now I'm with you

But now I'm not leaving
I'm going on I'm carrying
All the great way
Here is the rising wind
And the falling night
But now I'm with you

The dreams are getting away
Crazy lights in flashes
There too the door was slammed shut

And the eyes are a mirror
Of the angel's loneliness
But now I'm with you

High words like towers
Sending hands, ropes
Into the depths of the scream

Here the wind is rising
A prayer from the depths of the heart
Look at me you'll look at you

But now I'm not leaving
I'm going on I'm carrying
All the great way
Here is the rising wind
And the falling night
But now I'm with you

Maor Cohen feat. Doron Talmon - Come

So sweet! (and kind of relatable, lol)

Come let's see the sun shining
I'd rather sleep a little more
Maybe we'll take a walk on the grass
It's enough for me to look at the window

Maybe we'll play a record in the morning
It's a shame, it's such beautiful silence
So let's go to a movie at two
Let me finish my coffee

And now I'm going
If you want maybe come along
And maybe I'll come back
And maybe...

Let's rearrange the house
What's wrong with how it is now?
Maybe we'll fly to Paris tonight
Leave me, my back hurts

What will be with you, get out of the shell
The day is passing and you're not waking up...
Now say that you're going
Maybe you'll tell me to come along
And here you're coming back again
And maybe, maybe not anymore

Netta Barzillai - TOY

NETTA FEVER!!!

I have to admit, the first time I heard Toy" I didn't really like it. It sounded too loud and chaotic, too over-the-top, but then I heard it again, and again and somehow it all works perfectly, mainly thanks to Netta Barzillai's powerful voice and persona. Netta brought something fresh and new to "Rising Star" and her performances were always the highlight of the show. My favorite comment by the stunned judges was Static's who said: "I just don't know how to deal with this, bro, what's going on here? Where am I? I'm in the future, bro, what is this? What's going on here?" Despite her popularity, it was still a surprise that she actually won the show and was chosen to represent the country in the Eurovision. In a recent interview she said that her goal when coming to the show was to reach as many hearts as possible and to inspire others, and this is what gave her the strength to be so different and 'out of the box'. With 4 million views (and counting!) Netta has certainly reached many hearts and I'm proud to be represented by someone so original, creative, talented and fierce!

Look at me, I'm a beautiful creature
I don't care about your "modern-time preachers"
Welcome boys, too much noise, I will teach you
Pam pam pa hoo, Turram pam pa hoo

Hey, I think you forgot how to play
My teddy bear's running away
The Barbie got something to say: Hey! Hey! Hey!
Hey! My "Simon says" leave me alone
I'm taking my pikachu home
You're stupid just like your smart phone

Wonder woman, don't you ever forget
You're divine and he's about to regret
His baka-bakum, bak-bak bakumbai...

I'm not your toy
You stupid boy
I'll take you down
I'll make you watch me
Dancing with my dolls
On the MadaBaka Beat
Not your toy!

A-A-A-Ani Lo buba!*
Don't you go and play with my boy!
A-A-A-Ani Lo buba!
Don't you go and play...Shake!
Kulului, Kulului, Ah, wedding bells ringing
Kulului, Kulului, Ah, money man bling-bling
I don't care about your 'stefa'** , baby
Pam pam pa hoo, Turram pam pa hoo

Wonder woman, don't you ever forget
You're divine and he's about to regret
His baka-bakum...bak-bak bakumbai...

I'm not your toy
You stupid boy
I'll take you down I'll make you watch me
Dancing with my dolls
On the MadaBaka beat
Not your toy!

*I'm not your doll
**wads of cash

The Tree House Kids with Ayala Ingedashet - Mother Tell Me

Happy (belated) International Woman's Day! This heartwarming gem is taken from the third album of the Tree House Kids, a project for the whole family by brothers Ran and Yaya Cohen Aharonov. The project began with an album of songs, a second album, developed into two children's books, a theatre show based on the book, and from there to an acclaimed TV show on the education channel.

From the press: The song "Mother tell me" was written by Ayala Ingedashet and Ran Cohen Aharonov and composed by Yaya Cohen Aharonov. Ayala sings about her journey with her family to Israel. Ayala was two years old when they left Ethiopia. The hero of the song and the journey is Ayala's mother who embarked on the journey when she was pregnant and during the journey gave birth to Ayala's younger sister. During conversations between Ayala and her mother, she discovered new details about the journey in addition to what she knew and remembered, and these were incorporated into the song. The song features the renowned Ethiopian jazz saxophonist Abatte Barihun.

Mother tell me again
How did I get here
About the journey in the desert
How we left at night leaving everything there
We carried with us only a few jugs of water
And bread that doesn't spoil even after months
We left in the darkness on horses and donkeys
We moved quietly for long days
Tell me how you carried me in a cloth on your back
And how we drank from a tree which milk oozed from it

Mother tell me one more time
About the journey from Ethiopia
Your dream came true
To me you are the biggest hero
Mother tell me one more time
About the journey from Ethiopia
Your dream came true
My mother you are the biggest hero

Mother tell me again
How I got here
And about the journey in the desert
How we left at night leaving everything there

We walked at night and slept during the day
And you bathed me in the cold river between the mountains
Tell me again about the Arab woman
Who applied goat milk on me so I will be healthy again
How you loved to make little dolls from clay
Maybe they're still in Ambur maybe something is still there

Mother tell me again...

Gil Bar Hadas - What Were You Thinking

What were you thinking when you came to him
And you stuck a knife in my back?

I love you, I love you
I told you
I love you, I love you so much

A hand is placed on a hip
You didn't control yourself?

I love you, I love you
I told you
I love you

I can't help thinking
About you and him
About you and him
Him on you and you on him

A button unravels a button
You didn't think to stop?

You don't care, you don't care
Your friend
You don't care

I can't help thinking
About you and him
About you and him
Him on you, and you on him
