Eifoshehu - Tel Aviv

"Cities have the capability of providing something for everybody, only because, and only when, they are created by everybody"
-Jane Jacobs, The Death and Life of Great American Cities

Imagine Tel Aviv is falling apart-it's already here.
Its buildings are falling, full and large and up to here
Kids are crying in the car again, because they don't have air-conditioner
A crane is breaking the Cinerama-they say it's old

The women of the city are sobering up in discotheques
Try to listen to the phenomenon-it's fascinating if
They just would have thought before they would have gone to a gay bar
Because half of the men behave like steaks

It's unpleasant, it's unpleasant, it's unpleasant, and it's also bad
My Tel Aviv is falling but I don't have the right to vote
When it will be conquered by the Romans or the transforming aliens
It won't be so awful, it won't be so bad
Because my Tel Aviv has already fallen

It's like an apocalyptic vision. They say in the elliptical room
Of our historical ally that there is no turning back
And they're racking their brains in the room "What did we do wrong?
How did we not keep, we didn't warn, the gray city"

And at the burial ceremony, there at the home estate
All of the leaders will come and wash their hands
But the dirt gets stuck tight, so they'll go in deep
Until the sea will wash them away and make a joke of everyone

It's unpleasant, it's unpleasant, it's unpleasant, and it's also bad
My Tel Aviv is falling but I don't have the right to vote
When it will be conquered by the Romans or the transforming aliens
It won't be so awful, it won't be so bad
Because my Tel Aviv has already fallen
