Gedy Ronen - Hot in Yaffo

It's that time of the year when every hot weekend feels like it might be the last one before autumn takes over. So here's one last breezy summer song (though I'm probably wrong and next weekend will be just as hot), an ode to Yaffo by Gedy Ronen with a light touch of autumn melancholy.

It's hot in Yaffo, hot on Yefet and Street 60
Cats celebrate here on the stones
Whoever doesn't get through the selection comes here to dance
No matter how much she didn't give me I just wanted more

How every time she's burning how she's not quiet
In a painted dress she walked around
And now for a long time again I won't see her
I won't see her

When the summer will end you'll be drained
Go look at yourself honestly in the eyes

On the Zodiac Path, another day of photo shoots
Passerby shout:"what a pair of love doves"
They go down to the port to catch the sunset
They have the frame- they just need the picture

She would like to be remembered this way
Her hair tossed in the wind sails in her dress

It's hot in Yaffo, hot on Yeffet, jump into the salad
The whole city which gets mixed will mix a bit
Only she is coming, she's about to leave, just to stay a bit more
Just to stay a bit more

When the summer will end you'll be drained
Go look at yourself honestly in the eyes
She said that she's leaving she probably won't come back
Probably won't come back...
