Judy Antebi - Give In

Did we know did we know then
we would be we would be gone
That sitting and smiling with you,
could be the last chance to...

We avoid we avoid truth,
that you long to slip,
creep away to...

Did I run too far,
leaving you to fade,
watching as each day
drips into the next

Would you have would you have fought
for another day
If I had stayed.

Did I run too far,
leaving you to fade,
watching as each day
drips into the next

Did I run too far,
leaving you to fade...

Did we give did we give in
now I'm confronting the fall
you just promise me please,
to remember it all.

Modern Phase - Border/ine

Modern Phase's Godel Pierce: "Life is about constant experiences that are pushing towards the borderline, where there is always a division between two discreet things-yourself and another battle that life has thrown your way".

Teapacks - Ya Mustapha

Ever since the nation-state law passed, and even a bit before that, I've had a heavy feeling in my heart which I now identify as sorrow and shame. I usually try not to bring up politics when giving a spotlight to Israeli artists but in this case I feel that Teapacks are sending a clear message that they want to embrace cultural diversity in a time when it's being challenged. I realize that some viewers might be baffled to see an Israeli group singing in Arabic but about 50% of the Jewish population in Israel descends from countries under Muslim rule and older generations grew up listening to Arabic music and watching on Israeli TV the traditional Friday afternoon Arabic movie, which is now a thing of the past.

The Youtube description: A new single from Teapacks-this time a Teapacks version to a trilingual song (French, Arabic, and a bit of Italian) which came out in Europe in 1960 by Bob Azzam, an Egyptian singer with Lebanese ancestry and was sung by the Jewish-French-Turkish singer Dario Moreno in the 1962 film "El-Hob Kedah"-(This is Love) starring the singer Sabah. The song was composed by the famous Egyptian composer Mohamed Fawzi. A fun song of love and friends. Teapacks' rhythm department gave it a different beat, Kobi Oz mixed a bit the inner order and added new notes and Daniel Krief stands out with her voice and joy. The song is a yearning for happy days when nations were more together and less separate. An innocence of cultural abundance.

تعال يا مصطفى
تعال يا عيني
تعال يا مصطفى
تعال يا عيني
تعال يا مصطفى
يا ابن السرحان
جيب تعميرة عجمي
و لف على الجيران

Tu m'as allumé avec une allumette
Et tu m'as fait perdre la à tête
Chéri je t'aime chéri je t'adore,
como la salsa de pomodoro

يا مصطفى يا مصطفى
أنا بحبك يا مصطفى
سبع سنين في العطارين
دلوقتي جينا
Chez Maxim

واما ييجي كيفه كيفه
يشرب على كيفه كيفه

يا مصطفى يا مصطفى
أنا بحبك يا مصطفى
سبع سنين فى العطارين
دلوقتي جينا
Chez Maxim

[in Hebrew]:

Come ya Mustapha
Come my eyes

Come my eyes
Come ya Mustapha
Bring fun
And go among the neighbors

You lit me up with a match
And you made me lose my mind

Honey, I love you
I love you, ya Mustapha
Like tomato sauce

Ya Mustapha, ya Mustapha
I love you ya Mustapha
Seven years in Atttarin
And now we came to Maxim

And when his fun will come
He'll smoke with fun

Ya Mustapha, ya Mustapha
I love you ya Mustapga
Seven years in Atttarin
Now we came to Maxim

iogi - magic trick

seems to me that while we're here
you might as well be a part of me
everybody's talking
and i'm trying to listen to you
in the morning i overthink
but try to wash it down my sink
now I see there's no magic trick
i guess i'm doing just fine
put on your make up
forget it i mean it
i'm walking beside you
don't need nothing else
better be close
because i'm getting the most of myself
don't expect much
i am what i am
seems to me that while you're here
you might as well take a walk with me
if you're not tired and feel at ease
we might go to see a movie
don't you fear that the writer's gone
summer comes and you feel alone
if you're patient enough you'll see that
i am coming real soon
put on your make up
forget it, i mean it
i'm walking beside you
don't need nothing else
better be close
cause I'm getting the most of myself
don't expect much
i am what i am

Eden Ben Zaken - My Life

Mazal Tov to Israel's sweetheart Eden Ben Zaken! Eden burst into our lives 5 years ago with her memorable X-Factor audition (she later won second place) and became Israeli pop royalty with her debut album "Queen of Roses". Since then she's been busy releasing hit after hit and I'm sure this one will be a classic. The video, which is footage of Ben Zaken's recent wedding to longtime boyfriend Shuki Biton, is very emotional and also captures perfectly Israeli weddings today. L'chayim!

You came into my life before I gave up
You lit my heart with a sea of colors
After all the years in which I've been searching for happiness
All the years in which I've been searching for words

My love, look into my eyes
We won everything yet we remained sane
Promise always to take care of just us
To take care forever

Oh you're my life
How do I have you
I'm lucky to have you by my side
Oh you're my life
I'm shouting in front of everyone
For me you are the greatest happiness in the world

And how is it that with you every morning is such happiness
I wish time would stop forever
And how is it that you came for a moment
And stayed for eternity
A love for a lifetime

Oh you're my life
How do I have you
I'm so lucky to have you by my side
Oh you're my life
I'm shouting in front of everyone
For me you are the greatest happiness in the world

Erez Dascal - Titanic

Wow.

Once again I am swept into an adventure without arms and legs
And we pay for this nonsense later in blood
In blood!

Again
I am dressed like a captain
And I imagine myself sailing
This cursed ship
Towards the safe haven
And all of the sailors are disabled
And I have no ears and eyes
My throat is hoarse with stupidity
And there's nowhere to sail
Because the ocean
Is so wide open
And the wind is waiting
For an opportunity to give wings
To give a slap in the eyelids
And bring with me to justice
Again

Again I'm indifferent
To all the death around
And all the contempt and the soot
On the streets of Tel Aviv
It's giving me a heartburn
And why are you interfering?
Who gave you a license to drive
With me
Like a mule
Like pairs of shoes
In the markets of southern Tel Aviv

Again
I know I'm lost
This game is addicted
To its own failures
It's trying me out with force
It has no heart and has no mind
There's only the power of inertia
And gravity

Admit it, you're mostly lost in all this
Trying to find a sign for a solution
And another car of opportunity has passed
We missed the moment
With salt water from the sea
We brought a small bucket of sand to bury all the mistakes
And we pay for this nonsense each time in blood
In blood!
